Obituary of Barbara Miller
Miller, Barbara A. The death of Barbara Ann Miller, beloved wife of the late Douglas Robert Miller, occurred unexpectedly Saturday, November 12, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Moore) Kyle. Barbara was born in Chatham Ontario and raised in Blenheim. She worked as a caregiver at South West Regional Centre in Cedar Springs, ON. In 1984 Barbara moved from Ontario to Whitehead, NB where she married Dougie and continued to work as a homecare worker for a few years. Barbara was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church and donated much of her time serving the church. She was always baking, pickling, sewing, or selling tickets for the next upcoming church event. Currently, she served as the Treasurer for the All Saints & St. Paul’s A.C.W. Barbara was instrumental in the organization of the annual Santa’s Helper Party in an effort to raise funds for the Deacon’s Cupboard. Barbara’a generousity toward others extended far beyond her own community as she made blankets, collected clothing, school supplies and funds to be sent to the Benin Orphanage in Africa. Barbara’s greatest loves were her dog, Aero, and her many great and great-great nieces and nephews whom she loved and spoiled as her own. She will be greatly missed. Barbara is survived by her step-mother, Edna Kyle of Blenheim, Ont., sisters, Sandra Kyle of Blenheim, Ont., Linda Jansen (John) of London, Ont., Mary Beth Kyle (Lawrence Lees) of Calgary, Alb., Cindy Kyle of Chatham, Ont., Jenny Whelan of Calgary, Alb., Kathy Lee (David) of Blenheim, Ont.; brothers, John Kyle of Blenheim, Ont., and Donald Kyle (Bonnie) of Blenheim, Ont. and several nieces and nephews.
