Obituary of Frank Ducey
Surrounded by his family, Frank W.J. Ducey passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 8, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 6, 1967 in Marystown, NFLD, he was the son of Pearl (Green) Stapleton, the late Francis Ducey, and stepfather John J. Stapleton. Frank moved from Halifax to Saint John a year and a half ago, where he was an industrial electrician for DND. Frank’s passions included his family, making excellent woodworkings, playing darts, running, traveling, photography, and enjoying good food. Frank will be missed by his loving wife Karen Rees-Ducey; brothers Cory Ducey and his wife Stacey of Saint John, NB and Shane Stapleton and his wife Barbara of Marystown, NFLD; mother and father-in-law Irene and Maurice Rees; special sister and brother-in-law Kelly and Greg Cross; nieces Haley Cross, Jaiden Ducey, Lilah Stapleton; nephews Eric Merzetti, Alan Cross, Aiden Hartt, and Jude Stapleton as well as several aunts and uncles. Besides his father, Frank was predeceased by his brother Lonny Ducey.Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, June 13 at 11:00 am from Castle Funeral Home Chapel. Donations in Frank’s memory can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
