

Obituary of Blake Dana Morse
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Blake Dana Morse announces his passing on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Blake was born on October 19, 1953 on Grand Manan Island, to the late Wilfred and Madeline (Knight).
Blake was known for his dedication to working with his hands, always engaged in building or creating. He found joy in crafting model boats and playing pool with Victoria. He also cherished traveling and exploring the landscapes of New Brunswick and Quebec. Throughout his life, Blake was a fisherman, a carpenter, and a volunteer firefighter, and he worked for several years at the Kelly Cove Salmon Site.
Blake will be dearly missed by his son Brett Morse, daughter Holly Cook (Vernon), siblings; Gerald Morse (Cathy), Peter Morse (Debbie), Lorna Colwell (Matthew), grandchildren; Jessica, Jillian, Brianna, Mitchell and Sarah, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, partner Victoria Hall- Merritt, close friend Bob Davidson, and mother of his children Christine Morse.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Keeping with Blake’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Grand Manan Island in summer 2026. In lieu of flowers donations in Blake’s memory can be made to Charlotte County Cancer (Grand Manan Chapter).
