Obituary of M. Karen Arseneault

It is with broken hearts that the family of Mary “Karen” Arseneault announce her sudden passing on May 3, 2024. Born in Saint John, NB on November 28, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Telesphore and Linda (nee Doiron) Arseneault.

 

Karen is survived by her cherished guardians Suzan and Andrew Storey and their children: Danna, Joseph, and Emma; brothers John, Ivan, and Henry Arseneault; sisters Ida Thibodeau, Doreen Arseneault, Brenda Arseneault and, Eileen Arseneault; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Antonie “Tony” Arseneault and sisters Carmelle and Irene Arseneault.

 

Karen was a fun loving, carefree, and empathic individual who was loved by many. She enjoyed being around others and loved her community at the United Catena. Karen knew many people in Saint John and became a friend to many. When someone met Karen her wonderful and outgoing personality left an unforgettable lasting memory. Karen enjoyed dancing and could never resist dancing to the Chicken Song.

Visitation for Karen will be on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Castle “Fallsview” Chapel beginning at 12:30 PM; interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in Karen’s memory can be made to the United Catena & Canadian Down Syndrome Society. For those unable to attend the service will be livestreamed.
