Obituary of Ronald David Nicol

It is with great sadness the family of Ronald David Nicol announce his passing on October 13, 2020, after a period of illness and declining health. Born at Woodman’s Point, N.B. in 1933 , Ronald was the youngest son of the late David and Margaret Mildred (Speight) Nicol, and he was predeceased by his parents and brothers, George Douglas Nicol, and Everett John Nicol. At 87 years old, Ron was the last surviving member of his immediate family and leaves to mourn his nephews and their families.Known to his friends as ‘Ron’, he was an avid hunter and fisher, and he took great pleasure skunking any challengers at cribbage. Ron worked at Moosehead Breweries for 44 yrs. A special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the SJRH for their care and compassion during Ron’s time there. Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701) have been entrusted with the arrangements. At Ron’s request there will be no visiting or funeral service.
