Obituary of Theresa Helen LeBlanc

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Theresa Helen LeBlanc announces her passing on Thursday, April 8, 2021, following a brief illness at Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Theresa was born on August 8, 1939 in Portage River, NB to the late Leo and Bertha DesRoches. Theresa was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a stay at home Mom and her family was everything to her. Later in life, she worked a number of years for Red Cross as a home-care worker which she was very proud of. She loved every client and treated them as family. Theresa enjoyed music, playing bingo, going for drives, and visiting her family in Portage River. She was also an amazing cook, something her family will truly miss. Theresa will be dearly missed by her sons; Danny (Shyanne), Jamie (Michelle), daughters; Mangella Green (Stephen), Doreen Belyea (Reg) and Tammy Gallant (Cory), brothers; Johnny (Cathy), and Eugene (Bonnie), sisters; Denise Melvin (Bill), Joanne Comeau (Real), and Angela DesRoches, 11 grandchildren; Chris, Greg, Matthew, Rebecca, Michael, Justin, Jessica, Mark, Mitch, Brad and Hannah, 8 great-grandchildren; Connor, Lily, Brycen, Weslee, Carmen, Lincoln, Treyson, Milo, and many nieces and nephews. Along with Theresa’s parents, she is predeceased by her husband Edward LeBlanc, sisters; Marie, Mary, Yvette, Jane, and brother Norman. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 11:00AM-2:00PM at Castle Funeral Home. A Private Family Memorial Service will follow at 2:30PM. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in Theresa’s memory can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Bobby’s Hospice or the charity of the donor’s choice.
