Obituary of Marion Etheleane Ester Lord
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marion Etheleane Ester (Toogood) Lord wife of the late Gregory Lord, announce her passing which occurred on Monday, August 7, 2017 at home. Marion was the daughter of the late Nellie Isabell Smith and the late Albert Victor Toogood. She was born on June 6, 1926 in Yarmouth, Ont. Marion loved life, God, and family. Mom loved to garden, enjoyed a good cup of tea, and especially the company of her family and grandchildren. Marion and Greg enjoyed many years of RVing and painting was also one of her passions. Marion lived life to the fullest and we will miss her dearly. Marion is survived by her daughters; Theresa (Ralph) LeBlanc, Joanne (Hal) Billiard, Susan (Hugh) MacEachern, Tina (Peter) Hooper, sons; Dennis (Sue) Lord, Kenneth Lord, and Christopher (Kathy) Lord, sister Nellie, brother James, special cousin Leonard Else, 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great great grandchildren, and 2 step-great great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her sons Stephen and James, brothers; Bill, Tom, Ted and sister Lila. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 2:00PM – 4:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will take place after the service at Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will follow at Theresa’s house. In lieu of flowers donations to the Salvation Army or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
