Obituary of Stella Carmel McIntyre
After a short period of failing health Stella Carmel (Daley) McIntyre passed away peacefully at home with her sons at her side. Stella was a life-long member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. In earlier years Stella enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and was lover of dogs and flowers. Proud of her heritage, Stella was born in St. Margarets, NB. She was eldest child of the late Joseph and Kathleen (Fraser) Daley, and is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Lee McIntyre, son Dale McIntyre, siblings; William (Bill) Daley, Geraldine Flynn, Marie Carroll and Kay Flanagan, and grandson Geoffrey McIntyre. Stella is survived by her sons; Ken McIntyre (Dawn) of Shediac, NB., and Barry McIntyre of Saint John, NB., four grandchildren; Shelley McIntyre (Mark) and her children; Mason and Taylor Brown of Grimsby, Ont., Gregory McIntyre (Nicole) and his children Ethan and Gavin McIntyre of Fredericton, NB., Heather McIntyre (Rick) and her children; Parker McIntyre, Ava and Isabella Dixon of Moncton, NB., and Peter McIntyre and his children Gabriel and Amelia McIntyre of Sudbury, Ont., sisters in law; Symone Daley of Hardwicke, NB., Margie McIntyre of London, Ont., and Gladys McIntyre of Moncton, NB., as well as many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions a Private Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church will be held at a later date, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired donations in Stella’s memory can be made to the Assumption Building Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
