Obituary of Shirley Elizabeth Taylor
It is with great sadness, the family of Shirley Elizabeth Taylor and wife of the late Leonard Bruce Taylor, would like to announce her passing on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Bobby’s Hospice. Shirley was born on March 7, 1925 in Saint John to the late Clarence H. and Jessie (Wilson) Galbraith. Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren, attending True Life Church and was an avid gardener. She is survived by her two sons; Robert “Bob” Taylor and his wife Beverly of Quispamsis and David Taylor and his wife Monica of Moncton, daughters; Lynn Pike and her husband David of Quispamsis and Karen Sutton and her husband Terry of Quispamsis, sister in-law Alice Galbraith, seven grandchildren, three great grand-children and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, parents and brother Ernest “Billy” Galbraith. Arrangements are under the care of Castle funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634-1701). Keeping with Shirley’s wishes there will be no visitation. A private family funeral service will take place on Monday, May 15th, 2017 at 3:00 PM, at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. Interment will take place at Lorneville Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Bobby’s Hospice or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
