Obituary of Patrick Leo O’Brien

It is with great sadness that the family of Patrick Leo O’Brien announce his sudden passing on Sunday, February 9th, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Patrick was born on March 27, 1965 to the late Leo and Betty (Cunnigham) O’Brien in Saint John, NB. Patrick was a painter by trade, he worked alongside Uncle Kerry for many years, and he truly enjoyed it. He loved music, dancing, karaoke, and playing TV bingo every week with his spouse Sherry and sons Jeffrey and Brandon. Patrick was a big hockey fan, he always enjoyed watching the games-especially the Montreal Canadiens. Patrick will be missed by his spouse Sherry Vautour, sons; Jeffery Vautour (Erica) and Brandon Vautour (Ashley), daughter; Amanda Foster (Dave), brothers; Michael O’Brien and John O’Brien, sisters; Kathy Spencer (Kenny), Anne Williams (Timmy) and Judy O’Brien (John), grandchildren; Mackenzie Pye and Zachary Vautour, and several nieces and nephews. Patrick is predeceased by his parents, son Corey Vautour and brother Sean O’Brien. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB, 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13th from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow in Castle “Fallsview” Chapel at 2:30 PM. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Patrick’s memory can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
