Saddened to learn of Jeannette's passing. As a young person, I sang in her choirs for several years, and continue to participate in choral music over 50 years later, in no small part due to her tutelage. She had a gift for bringing out the best in a group of untrained singers and her patience and dedication were outstanding. Not only was she a good tennis player, but she was no slouch on the badminton court either. I learned the fundamentals of the game from her and continue to enjoy playing to the present time. She was a remarkable person and influenced the lives of many, including myself, in a positive way. She will be fondly remembered. Rest in peace Jeanette

Elizabeth, as you know I had the privilege of sharing many great times with Jeanette. We both loved going to the local music performances and especially our tickets to the Imperial Theatre. She loved Symphony New Brunswick and we so loved to sit and enjoy the hard work for all the musicians and conductor including the pre-performance discussions. Many chats about tennis and of course the Patriots. She was so happy these past few months and spoke so highly of all of your family and the care and love she appreciated so much. Jeanette often said she was treated like royalty. So thinking of all of you as you gather with family and friends to celebrate a wonderful person and my "Theatre Buddy". Take care xo

Our GOOD Friend Jeanette. I have nothing but good Memories. Happy Memories. Times that I wish we could relive. I was 15yrs old when I met this charming Lady who made me feel at home at Hillcrest. Jeanette instilled in me a love of Music I never had. She was patient, kind, loving and made you feel you knew it even if you didn’t have a clue. Her Smile. Her eyes said much. Then years later Barbara and I were at Crossroads and oh the Musicals our two Churches put on at Voc and other locations. They shared directing the Choirs. We went to her work shops and we were truly all like Family. Yes, many of us are at the Winter Season of our lives. I’m glad I had Spring and Summer of those years with a Lady called Jeannette. We had lots of laughs. Donnie with his bag of Candy; Gladys making sure she missed out on nothing. Ona Marie bragging about the only Baby ever born. Good times in the Lord. Our last Memory of Jeannette was at The Sisters. She was alone at the end of the Counter. We were happy to see each other. Had a good chat just like it was meant to be. Hard to let go. You are now at rest Jeannette. You are in the presence of Him who your Music spoke of and who you as a MINISTER of Music presented so well. Due to circumstances we cannot attend your Home Going. Know we are there in Spirit. Love you bunches. In His Grip Norman & Barbara

Jeannette came to Charlotte Street Baptist, as noted, in 1961, and I was one of the fortunate ones to have been in the choir at that time. She gave a new dimension to church music, and was inspirational in the way she approached it. She offered challenges to the choir, and had, as mentioned above, endless patience in ensuring that we were all comfortable with what we were going to sing. She was someone that this world will miss, but we have had the privilege of knowing, singing with, and learning from an exceptional woman.

I worked with Jeanette from 1976 to her retirement. We were in the same department for a few years. Jeanette was always impeccably dressed, had a dry sense of humour and certainly knew her job. To me she was classy, sassy and very smart. You are with your sweet love Bev. now. My sincere condolences to Elizabeth and family on your loss. Rest In Peace Jeanette.

I have such good memories of Jeanette during my time at Hillcrest. First, as a member of her Junior Choir (wow, what patience she had) and then as a member of the Senior Choir until I moved away. I always took the time to chat with Jeanette during my home visits to Hillcrest. A wonderful lady who made a lasting impression on my life.
