Eloi Joseph Robichaud was reunited with his soulmate Margaret Rose (Cormier) Robichaud on November 17th, 2019 at Bobby’s Hospice. Eloi was born in Acadiaville, NB on October 24th, 1934 to the late Fabian and Elise (Babineau) Robichaud. Eloi was a proud Veteran and paratrooper. Eloi started his career as a Longshoreman, which he retired from at 60. He was a proud and long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69 and Our Lady of Assumption Parish. Eloi and his daughter Darlene always made sure to attend the Legion Remembrance Day Services together. Eloi’s true love in life was his wife Margaret, he gave his life for her. Family was also very dear to his heart. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, telling stories and playing cards, especially at the family camp in Summerville on the peninsula – he loved it there. Eloi also enjoyed bowling, playing darts (city district and Legion #69), dancing, fishing, and watching the MTL Canadians. Eloi was a very loving and giving person his entire life- especially to his family, friends and AA members (friend of Bill W) right up until his last days. Eloi gave 48 years helping people at AA, saving many lives, he also donated blood for many years giving over 200 pints. Eloi is survived by his children; Darlene Robichaud (Robert) of Blacks Harbour , Daniel Robichaud (Joey) of Woodstock and Anthony (Cheryl) Robichaud of Saint John, sisters; Anna (Harvey) Robichaud, Bonnie (James) Thompson and Anita (Earl) Arsenault, brother in-law George (Margaret) Thibodeau of Saint John, NB, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and twenty-one nieces and nephews.
