So sorry to hear of Louise passing. Growing up in my younger years with all of you in our close community of Milford was a gift. I have so many good memories of all of you. In our school days, we could leave home at 8:55 AM and arrive at school in time for the 9:00 AM bell. At the end of the hours in the classroom day, we emptied the school by 3:15. We were on the snow hill sliding, skating at our local pond, at a baseball or street hockey game, or playing tag or exploring the woods by 3:30. In our day, it was easy to run back home to avoid the bullies or have a quiet lunch with our mom. My community of Milford also had forests on both sides of our street and hills where we could pick fresh blueberries in the summer and enjoy sliding in the winter. The Heberts and Jennings were great berry pickers and our moms were great pie makers. Unlike today with regional schooling, we had extra time back then to develop closer relationships with friends, neighbours, and the community. Milford was our four-season national park. We only had to walk out of our back door to enjoy it. It had beaches, rock climbing, trails, hunting, camping, and campfires. Best of all, there was no entry fee. My neighbourhood friends and Louise were fortunate. It taught us valuable lessons in cooperation, friendship and sharing. Lessons that will help us all of us today as we mourn the loss of Louise. My sincere condolences for your loss. Although I have not seen Louise in over 30 years, reading the comments above and her obituary certainly described a life loved and well-lived.

Growing up a block from my cousins was so great, a ready supply of instant friends. In a family of loving, friendly, funny playmates, Louise stood out for being the gentlest of a gentle, smiling group. When I think of her, the word "grace" comes most to mind. My world is a lesser place, knowing I no longer have the chance to see her eyes sparkle when she blesses her cousin with her smile. Bless all of you in this loss. Cousin Ronnie.
