Obituary of Olive Elizabeth Spence
SPENCE, Olive Elizabeth (Wasson), nee Wilson, (1925 - 2017) in her 92nd year, of Quispamsis, NB, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017. She was born in Mundleville, just outside Rexton, NB, daughter of the late Percy and Marjorie (MacEachern) Wilson. She was a born-again Christian and faith believer and a member of Kings Way Assembly, Quispamsis, NB. She will be sadly missed by daughters, Gayle (Gary) McGee of Sudbury, ON; Lois (Les) Ingraham of Dartmouth, NS; Bonnie (Tim) Shaw of Quispamsis, NB; and, grandchildren Dana (Cindy) McGee, Tod (Adrienne) McGee, Beth Ingraham, Scott Ingraham, Jared Shaw and Seth (Lindsey) Shaw. Also, sadly missed by great-grandchildren, Fiona, Casey, Hannah, Kira, Sameeya, Nicholas, Micah and Eli. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Irene Wilson, and Bessie Shiels, and, her brother Chester Wilson; brothers-in-law Raymond (Barb) Wasson, James (Ivy) Wasson, Bill Wasson, James (Nelda, predeceased) Benson; sisters-in-law Margie Wasson and Pam (Ken, predeceased) Wasson, Isla Spence (Murray, predeceased) McGee; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gerald Wasson, in 1976 and her second husband, Vincent Spence in 2012, and her son Kevin Wasson in 1962. Also, predeceased were brothers Cecil (Iris), Tom (Jessie), Ralph, and sister Hilda (Burleigh) Dunn. Special thanks to doctors and staff at SJR hospital, 4A North, Transitional Care Unit, for their kindness and excellent care. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at which time the service will commence. A reception to follow at Castle “Fallsview” Reception Centre. Interment at Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kings Way Assembly, 7 Kings Way Dr., Quispamsis, NB, E2G1C1 would be appreciated.
