Obituary of Mildred “Millie”Louise Mercuri
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Mildred “Millie”Louise (Boyle) Mercuri which occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in July 1947, in Fredericton, N.B., Millie was the daughter of Gerald Allan and Edna Marie (Noble) Boyle. Millie was a loving wife to Giuseppe “Joe” Mercuri (2013) and a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Aunt and sister to a large extended family. Millie was active and a lifelong member of Lancaster Baptist Church. Millie and Joe owned and operated Adam and Eve Hair Salon for over 30 years. She was the administrator at the Salon and office administrator at Leon’s Furniture. Millie was a member of exercise class TOPS for several years, and she hosted the TOPS yankee swap for many years. Millie and Joe loved to host parties for friends and family over the years. Millie also enjoyed travelling on bus tours with her friends down the U.S coast, crafting and doing needle point. Millie was instrumental in the Noble family reunion this past August 10th (2019), she brought everyone together after many years. She was amazed at the turnout – 60 members of the Noble family were in attendance. Millie is survived by her beloved son, Andrew and his wife Dawn, of Saint John, grandchildren Kristen, John and James all of Saint John, N.B., two great grandsons, Liam and Emory, sisters in law, Sharon Boyle, Fredericton, N.B., and Rosaria Mercuri, of Saint John and several special nieces and nephews. Millie was predeceased by her parents, Gerald (2009) and Edna (2015), her brother, Lowell (2007), husband Giuseppe ”Joe” (2013), brother in law Nick Mercuri (2006), Bernardo (2012) and Giovanna (2010) (Mercuri) Rocca. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John (634- 1701). Visitation will be held on Monday, 6 January, 2020 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Baptist Church, with reception to follow at Hillcrest. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in Millie’s memory can be made to the Lancaster Baptist Church, Bobby’s Hospice, the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation, or the charity of one’s choice. www.castlefh.com
