Obituary of Ulysse Joseph Arsenault
Surrounded by his family, Ulysse Joseph Arsenault passed away peacefully at Turnbull Nursing Home, in Saint John, NB on November 28th, 2019. Born in Saint-Louis de Kent on Jan 11, 1932, he was the son of the late Fidele and Elmina (Guimond) Arsenault. A carpenter by trade, Ulysse took pride in building and repairing homes for his family as well as many other projects. He was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. A devout Catholic, he was an active member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Ulysse was also a Legion Member and part of the 30 Up Club. His family meant a great deal to him and he will be greatly missed. Ulysse is survived by son; Robert (Colleen), daughters; Denise (Gary) McFadyen, Nicole (Craig) McRae, all of Saint John, NB and Pierrette (Jim) Chessie of Fredericton, NB, sisters; Alice Castonguay, Yvonne Daigle, Therese (Lionel) LeBlanc, grandchildren; Mark Chessie (Alicia Hay), Monica (Scott) Markowsky, Brian Arsenault, Brittany Arsenault, Jeffrey and Jillian McFadyen, Chloe McRae, great- grandchildren; Dylan Chessie, Sam and Anna Markowsky, many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was pre-deceased by his wife; Anezie, brothers; Emile, Aurele, Francois, Fidele, Raymond, sisters; Flavie, Rosalind, great-grand-daughter; Mila Kate Markowsky. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Turnbull Nursing Home for their compassion and care during dad’s time there. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 1st, from 2:00 PM - 4:00PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Assumption on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, with a reception at the Castle Funeral Home, Fallsview Reception Centre afterwards.
