Obituary of Shirley Jane Prosser
It is with great sadness the family of Shirley Jane (Porter) Prosser, widow of the late Ronald Harold Prosser wish to announce her passing on Monday October 12, 2020 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John, Shirley was a daughter of the late Bernard and Jennine (Frozel) Porter. Shirley was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.# 69, and was part of the Girls club at Tim Hortons, she loved to spend time with her family and friends. Shirley is survived by two sons, Kevin (Debbie) Prosser, of Abbotsford B.C., Mark (Darlene) Prosser, of Hamilton, Ont., one daughter, Kim (Gordon) Spinney, of Saint John, N.B., seven grandchildren, Melissa, Jessica, Steven, Corey, Hilary, Mark, and Mykayla, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Jennine Porter, her beloved husband, Ronald Harold Prosser, infant daughter Cindy, brothers, Murray Porter, Harold Porter, and Bernard Porter, sisters, Carlotta Ekstrom, Nettie MacDonald, Dorothy Boyer, and her best friend, Norma Nason. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 2pm to 7pm . A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2020 at 1:00pm at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. A reception will be held at Castle Funeral Home following the service. Donations to Cedar House at the Loch Lomond Village would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www.
