Obituary of Daniel Eugene McAuley

It is with sadness that the family of Daniel “Danny”Eugene McAuley wish to announce his passing on October 24, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Born in Saint John, Danny was a son of the late Donald F. and Corinne E. (Reynolds) McAuley. A life long Westsider, Danny worked for C.P.R. Trucking as a freight handler at the Port for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church, a 30 year member of the former Royal Canadian Legion Branch #2. In his spare time he loved to visit the local area beaches and the Lancaster Mall. He is survived by his brother; Murray (Sharon) McAuley, of Saint John, and his only nephew; Spike. Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1707) has been entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation will be held on Friday October 27, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday October 28, 2017 at Our Lady of Assumption Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
