Obituary of Edna Irene Connors
The peaceful passing of Edna Irene Connors, beloved wife of the late Lewis Connors occurred on August 11, 2017 at Bobby’s Hospice with all her loving family by her side. Born May 3, 1931 in McAdam NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Helena (Donahue) McGillicuddy. Although mom never worked outside the home, she was a wonderful homemaker and was always there for her family. She especially was a devoted grandmother and loved all her grandchildren. Edna is survived by her daughters, Gale, Debbie Black (Paul), Lynn (Bret Childs), Lisa Lanteigne (Ronald), son Wayne Connors (Debbie), and brother Walter McGillicuddy. Besides her parents and husband she was also predeceased by sisters, Gladys, Alice, Margaret, and Mary, brothers Lawrence, Maurice, and Raymond. Edna’s family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff of Palliative care at the Saint John Regional Hospital and to Bobby’s Hope House for the exceptional care that was given to mom. You truly are “angels”. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). Visitation will be held on Sunday 2:00PM-4:00PM and 7:00PM-9:00PM. Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Assumption church on Monday at 11:00AM. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Reception will be held at Castle Fallsview Reception Center Donations in Edna’s memory can be made to Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital or to Bobby’s Hospice at 385 Dufferin Row Saint John New Brunswick E2H2J9.
