Obituary of Janet McLeod Fowler
Janet McLeod Fowler, wife of the late Robert Arthur Fowler passed away on Sunday, January 12th 2020 at Loch Lomond Village. Born in Bloomfield, on July 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Jessie (Cook) Floyd. She was a member of the RiverCross Church and the Harambee Women’s Missionary Society. Janet enjoyed skating, skiing and gardening at her summer camp and her residence. After retiring from Ford Motor Co, she and her husband Bob traveled to various places in the ten short years that were given to them. She is survived by her one nephew Robert Floyd (Linda) of Arden Ontario, great nephew James, great niece Elyse, Bob’s nieces and nephews; Colleen, Susan, Gerry and Mary Jo, and her many caring friends. Janet is predeceased by her parents, husband Robert Fowler, sister Lois Floyd, brother Harold Floyd and nephew Peter. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th from 10:00AM – 11:00AM, a Memorial Service will follow at 11:00AM in Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. A Reception will take place afterwards at Castle “Fallsview” Reception Centre. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Janet’s memory can be made to RiverCross Church, Senior Watch Bursary Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com
