Obituary of Tommy MacMurray
It is with profound sadness the family of Thomas Frederick MacMurray, husband of Carol Ann (McCavour) MacMurray wish to announce his passing on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John in 1939 to the late Frederick Isaac MacMurray and Dorothy (Hulme) MacMurray.
Thomas worked at Baxter Dairies and as a crossing guard at Seawood school along with various routes over many years. He loved to travel with Nancy’s Bus Tours and was a huge country music fan. He could often be found at the Lorneville Community Centre’s weekly Jam sessions and loved his Tim Horton’s coffee. He also enjoyed watching his favourite sports teams: The Boston Red Sox and Toronto Maple Leafs. Tom was very proud of his son Darren and his athletic accomplishments at various events in the Special Olympics which he always attended.
Thomas is survived by his wife Carol Ann (McCavour) MacMurray of Saint John; his beloved son, Darren Andrew MacMurray of Saint John, sister, Dorothy Irene Lomax of Saint John, two brothers, Ray MacMurray of Long Reach, N.B., Bob (Barbara) MacMurray of Quispamsis along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Thomas was pre-deceased by his parents and one brother, William MacMurray, and nephew, Robbie MacMurray.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John (634 1701). A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Castle Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Castle "Fallsview" chapel on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11:00am. Interment will take place in Lorneville "Seaview" Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Lorneville "Seaview" Cemetery would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www.Castlefh.ca
