So very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed many little chats with Bernie at Kingsway Care (while visiting my mom /shared room). We often recited the Lord's prayer altogether and read the Daily Bread together. She was a very lovely lady. Cherish all the memories. May God's peace and comfort be with you all .

My deepest and sincere sympathy on a beautiful lady. I've known Bernie all my life and she was such a comfort to my mother when they lived in Fr. Riley's complex. Bernie and I acted together in the Irish plays at St. Peters School and what fun we had; Ed Maloney was our director back then. We had many, many laughs during rehearsals. She is now at peace in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family. Darlene (Holding) Franklin

Shane & Kathy,
I would like to extend my sincere condolences to you and your family. Berne was truly a pillar in St. Rose and I knew her long before Kathy and I made the connection many years back. Berne was always at St. Rose to be sure Mass, especially during the weekdays, would be on time and flow well. She made sure the Church was opened early for parishoners and also sure that the doors were locked up before she left. She prayed for many including me over the years. I pray she has been welcomed home into Our Fathers Arms. May she rest easy. Thoughths and prayers for all of her family and friends as you celebrate an amazing woman and leader.
Take care of each other,
Susan O'Brien

Shane, Kathy and Family, please accept my profound condolences at this time. Berne was one in a million. Shane, she was your biggest supporter and immensely proud of you and your accomplishments. Her sense of humor and ability to converse with anyone made her both approachable and likeable, but you quickly knew where you stood with her as she was a no-nonsense lady. I always enjoyed our conversations when we met on the Westside.
May you take comfort knowing we share in your loss and strength from our prayers.
Sincerely,
Paul and Rena

Shane, your mom was one of a kind with the word kind in emphasis. I recall with fond memories of the two of us as altar boys and the influence your mom had on our catholic upbringing. She took her love for you and the church very seriously. You must have been very proud of her as so many others were including me of her outstanding service to church and community.
My sincere condolences.

Shane and family,
We are so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Berne was my mom Rose Graham's friend and neighbour at the Father Riley Manor. She was lovely and never failed to light a candle for us when we travelled back and forth from St. John's to Saint John. Although we hadn't seen her since she left the Manor we have thought of her often. We will continue to remember her. ❤️
