Dear Martin family
Sending all of you my sincere condolences on this tremendous and heart breaking loss for your family. Andy & I went to St. Joe's together and I honestly can't remember a year that we weren't in the same class. So many memories of those much simpler times and the laughs we all had together.
After the Ground Hog Gale, we had a homework assignment to write about our experiences during the following days, with no power or much heat in the middle of winter. We had to read our papers out loud in class and I remember Andy described his family being covered under "a mountains of blankets to keep warm" Sister (Thompson I think) was so impressed with that description and gave him lots of praise. He was a little embarrassed but so proud, with his humble smile. It really was such a great description that I too always remembered it anytime someone mentions that day.
Andy & I also got to keep in touch over the years as we both worked for NBTel/Aliant/Bell. It was always a great trip down memory lane and catching up on the goings-on of the rest of the St. Joe's gang. It was always great to see him, with his big smile and warm greeting.
Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Andy, we will miss you.

Andrew, rest in peace and will you give my mom a hug for me and a kiss on the cheek for she always thought the world of you. It's devastating to the core in receiving the news of Andrew's passing. 40 years of good times and memories will be with me forever, Andrew was like a brother the first day I met him back in the NBTel/NBTel Mobility days, when he was working in the mail room in Brunswick Square Tower. It was like I knew him forever how we connect that day.
Andrew was the type of guy that would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need, always willing to go the extra mile. We went on a Caribbean Cruise in 2015 after my Mom had suddenly passed that I needed him to go with me and he gladly agreed. Our fun loving personalities grew on so many people on the ship and off the ship on the islands, especially Andrew's. He was the type of guy you loved to meet the moment anyone met him. So many memories, good times that I will cherish forever. There will never be anyone that could fill his shoes, in the personality of charm he had. So unbelievably sad I find myself writing this on Andrew's obituary.
To Andrew's family, his daughter Summer he loved so dearly, we had so many conversations about the love he had for you Summer, his beloved sister Lori and brother inlaw Dave, his brother Eric and Brad, he truly loved you all in speaking so highly of all the memories of good family times. To Andrew's mother Noreen, I can't express the deep love he had for you his dear Mother, he cherish the love he had for you so deeply, it's hard to find the words the love of a son for his mother, to the same love I had for my mother, a bond that will never be broken, ever.
My sincere deepest sympathy and condolences to all of Andrew's family and friends during this difficult time, in the loss of Andrew that we are all feeling so much grief, today and years to come. RIP Andrew, love ya brother. I will cherish the memories forever pal. Thanks for a lifetime of fun we had together. This is so unbelievably sad.

Summer I’m so sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was a great guy . We dated in 2014 and my boys loved him and Summer. I always remember when they came to the house Summer would ask “ what’s on the menu today ?”bc he wasn’t much of a cook so it was a lot of eating out at Dads. He was one of the most generous people I’ve ever met. He always called my by my last name so I always called him Martin . We remained friends and kept in contact and I had just been talking to him a few months ago and he was so excited about his new apartment, especially that the ladies in the building were bringing him food and treats lol and he was so looking forward to spending time down south since he had just retired.
I am heartbroken that he is gone and send my condolences to Summer and the rest of his family .
I’m sure you are up there charming everyone and making them laugh with all your stories.
Rest In Peace Martin .. I will miss you ❤️
