Obituary of Betty Ann Addison
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Ann Addison (Flowers) on Sunday July 17, 2022, at Bobby’s Hospice with her family by her side. Born in Saint John, N.B. on December 5, 1946, wife of the late Douglas LeRoy Addison and daughter of the late Cecil and Glady’s (Cody) Flowers.
The last 6.5 years Betty fought a courageous battle with cancer and her family got to love and spoil her. She had such a great love for her brothers and sisters and all they did for her. Betty was a member of River Cross Church. She enjoyed knitting and needle work.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Barb Perry, and Susan (Marcel) Goulard, 4 grandchildren, one great grandson, and one great granddaughter, five sisters, Marie (Nick) Wright, Mary Lou Splude (late Doug Deuville), Bonnie Marino (late Joe), Nancy Golding (late Tim Aspen), Kim (Dean) Bosfet, five brothers, Harry (Barb), Roy (Lucy) Warren, Reggie (Janice) and Bill (Sharon), and sister in law Liz (Bruce) Addison.
Predeceased by her loving husband, her parents, sister, Phyllis, and brother, Cecil.
Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, (634 1701) have been entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at River Cross Church on Thursday July 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Reception will be held at RiverCross Church following the interment. Donations to Bobby’s Hospice, RiverCross Church or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank Dr. Knight, Dr. Burnell, and the Oncology Department, Pat Chapman and the Extra Mural Team. A special thank you to Dr. Chris O’Brien and his team at Bobby’s Hospice whose care and compassion will never be forgotten.
