Alex, Cody, Cory and family, Joe and I send our sincere condolences to you all during this most difficult time. Barb was a good friend and was always willing to help others, especially with her knowledge. I personally enjoyed our conversations over the years. May all the memories you all made with her give you some sort of peace knowing she no longer suffers with her illness. Anything Joe and I can do, please do not hesitate.

So very sorry to read this. I went to high school with Barb, reading her accomplishments does not surprise me. We never reconnected after high school but she was someone that I always remembered from high school. Condolences to her family on their loss.

Sending sincere condolences to Barbara's family and friends. I went to school with her in elementary and middle school, and then re-connected through shared nursing careers. Later, when my grandmother was a resident at Carleton Kirk, I was always happy to see Barbara when I visited, and I felt comforted knowing that my family member was getting excellent care from her and the rest of the team. I will remember Barbara for her intelligence, strength, honesty and work ethic, as well as her sense of humor and beautiful spirit. I am so sorry for your great loss.

Barb was a fellow Saint John union activist who worked hard for her members. She had the unique ability to read the room and say the very thing you were thinking but were too shy to say. We shared many a talk between meetings about our children, spouses, and families. Laughs were had, tears flowed freely but moreover understanding and compassion was felt. Hope you still hear those birds chirping “cheeseburger” in heaven Barb, because you are missed so dearly here on earth. I’m sorry I’ll be unable to attend her service as I am away, but her family should know and be proud of the many lives she touched.

Barb was a beautiful soul. She was such a good and kind teacher. She was a huge mentor to me in the union activist positions that I still hold today for our local.
Barb, you wore so many hats. Mother, Partner, Nurse, Union Activist, mentor and a true friend. Always giving the very best advice, and never in anything but a loving gentle place of caring.
