Obituary of Katherine "Kay" Morrissey
It is with great regret that we announce the passing of Katherine “Kay” Frances (Donovan) Morrissey. Born in Saint John on September 28,1921 to parents Thomas and Mary (Murphy) Donovan, Katherine was married to the late William Edward “Ned” Morrissey. She was a lifelong resident of Fairville and a member of St. Rose Catholic Women’s League for over 60 years. Katherine is survived by her son James Morrissey (Patti) and daughters Patrica Gogan (Ron) and Mary McGraw (Tony) all of Saint John. three grandchildren:, Shaun (Tiffani) Morrissey of Florida, Jamie (Mandy) Morrissey and Troy (Tara) McGraw of Saint John; three great-grandchildren: Logan Morrissey, Blythe McGraw, and Charlotte McGraw . She is also survived by her sister in law Becky McNally of Saint John. Special thanks to Phyllis Reid and to her Care Givers at Rocmaura Garden Court. Visitation will be held at Castle Funeral Home “Fallsview” 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and also on Thursday from 2. to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday at 12:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church Donations to Rocmaura Nursing Home would be appreciated.
