Obituary of Myra Cobham
With great sorrow the family of Myra Cobham announce her passing on February 6, 2013. Born in Saint John on April 4, 1927, Myra was the daughter of the late Dr. Harold and Gertrude (McAfferty) Clarke . Myra is survived by her son Kerry Cobham, and three daughters - Kathleen Poirier (Allan), Marlene Clohossey (Willard) and Victoria Cobham. Myra is also survived by 17 grandchildren - Susan, Sophia, Sherry, Tessa, Victor, Troy, Andy, Vicky, Kerry, Crystal, Allan, Dahlila, Victor, Jessie, Gwen, Sandi and Rob and several great and great-great grandchildren. Myra is predeceased by her husband Victor Cobham (1975), son Victor Cobham (2006), great-grandson Corey Vautour (2012) and her two brothers Frank Clarke (2003) and Thomas Clarke (1974). Myra loved to paint landscapes and spent many hours with her grandchildren encouraging them to draw and paint. She was an avid reader and movie viewer. She loved to travel across the country and spent many years in Toronto and Vancouver. Myra was well known for her quick-witted responses in any situation. Arrangement being made by Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue. There will be no visitation. A private family service will be held. Internment at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery. Our family would like to express gratitude to the exceptional people who cared for our Mother at Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Donations in memory of Myra can be made to Carleton Kirk Nursing Home 2 Carleton Kirk Place West Saint John.
