I am so sorry for your loss. It was my intention to visit Gert when I returned fom Nova Scotia.I was not even able to visit or attend the funeral because I was away and I would have not missed it. I know that my Dad and Stepmom (Mervyn & Frances Winters) shared many good times with Gert and Deryl over the years and I am sure that they are up above listening to music and having some good old laughs together.I remember some of the antics and stories and the fun times they had. Gertrude was an important part of my family. She and my mother, Audrey Boyce were best friends. Our families had many wonderful times together. Gertrude's sons Donnie and Deryl were often in the company of myself and the Boyce Family. I remember Gertrude's great sense of humor and so many meals shared. My condolences go out to all the family especially her sons Donnie and Deryl. Sending love, energy, comfort and support to all. Love is eternal.
