Obituary of William Wills
It is with great sadness that the family of William Fredrick Wills (Bill) announces his passing on Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Carlton Kirk Lodge. He was born on May 7, 1935 in Saint John and was the husband of Lorraine (Creamer) Wills of 54 years. He was the son of the late Charles Fredrick Wills and Elsie Virginia Janes, and also his stepmother Anne (Tokash) Wills. Bill was a long time employee of NB Power and enjoyed hobbies such as hunting, boating and spending time with his family and loved ones. Bill attended St. Augustine’s Church and was a great story teller. Bill is survived by his wife Lorraine Wills; daughters Judith Ann (Creamer) O’Ree, Virginia Gaunce-Pye (Greg), Kimberly Nickerson (John), Christine Wills (Stephan Cretien), Natalie Wills (Scott Dalling) and step-daughter Linda Guay. He is also survived by his sons Joseph Wills, Thomas Wills (Patricia) and John Wills (Tammy); also by his last surviving aunt Mary Elizabeth (Janes) Hanley (Mame). Bill also had 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Morton (George), Helen Arsenault, Jean Pentland (Jim), Charles Wills, Julie Hayward (Jack), Ann Marie Godwin, Susan Wills, Jacqueline Wills, Albert Wills, Paul Wills and George Wills. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his grandparents William and Caroline Janes, sister Dorothy Wright and two infant brothers, along with four nephews and many aunts and uncles. To honor Bill’s wishes there will be no visitation, cremation will take place. A Memorial Mass will be held on, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the St. Augustine’s Church Grand Bay- Westfield at 12:00pm. A reception will be held following the service at the St. Augustine’s hall. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society, St. Augustine’s Building Fund or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
