Obituary of Thomas Henry McAuley
Surrounded by his family Thomas “Tom” Henry McAuley passed away peacefully on Friday March 4, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born November 19, 1949 he was the son of Eileen Ward. Tom was an avid dart player who loved to dance and fish. He was a member of Branch #69 Legion, Assistant Sargent of Arms at the Legion and a faithful volunteer for the poppy campaign. Tom will be sadly missed by loving wife of 47 years Rose (McGovern) McAuley; daughters Debbie McAuley, Tracy McAuley and Katherine (Peter) Wilson all of Saint John, NB; grandchildren Kaitlynn, Mikey, Matthew, Brianna, Addyson, Marcus; great-grandchildren Carter and Hailey; best friend Vernon “Pudgy” (Diana) McCarty; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friendsArrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 8, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, a Legion Tribute Service will be held at 7:00 pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at 11:00 am from Castle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in Tom’s memory can be made to Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care. www.castlefh.com
