Obituary of Vivian Shannon
Surrounded by her loving family, the death of Vivian Shannon, wife of the late Ronald Joseph Shannon, occurred on June 29, 2011 at the Bobby's Hope House. Born in Saint John on November 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Nelson) Keleher. Vivian shared a special bond with her friends at her card group the Jolly 51. She is survived by her sons; Paul Shannon, Richard (Cheryll) Shannon, Brian (Debbie) Shannon, Kevin (Arlene) Shannon, Wade (Adele) Shannon, Patrick (Pauline) Shannon, Barry Shannon, daughters; Bonnie (Gary) Byers, Kelley (Anthony) Daamen, brothers; Thomas (Alma) Keleher, Eugene (Marina) Keleher, sister, Shirley Mathias and her brother-in-law's Leo Bowes, Bobby Shannon. She is also survived by her 23 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents Vivian was predeceased by her brothers Martin, David and her sisters Irene Bowes, Rose-Marie Keleher and her great grandchild Tara. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634 -1701) with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 12 noon at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in memory of Vivian made to Bobby's Hope House would be appreciated by her family.
