Obituary of Robin Pringle
Our dearly loved one, Robin Alan Pringle, of Rothesay has left us so saddened with his passing on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family present. Robin was born in Kitchener, Ontario on November 20, 1935. Son of the late Alan Shaw Pringle and late Elizabeth Rae Hall. Robin attended Galt Collegiate Institute and Vocational School. He began his career working with Thomson Newspaper in Galt, Ontario. Following a number of successful assignments in Southern and Northern Ontario markets, he was appointed Advertising Manager of the chains largest paper, the Sudbury Star. He was recruited into corporate advertising as National Advertising Manager for Dominion Supermarkets with large volume markets coast to coast in Canada. During that time Dominion Stores was the recipient of numerous advertising and marketing awards for achievements in national campaigns conducted in Vogue Magazine and Readers Digest. In 1982 Robin relocated to Rothesay, New Brunswick to pursue a change in lifestyle. He built a successful business in the Graphic Design and Signage trade culminating in today’s well known Creative Sign Group. Robin leaves his wife, Shirley Rogers-Pringle; one son, Dr. Christopher Pringle, of Halifax; one daughter, Elizabeth Pringle, of Kingston, N.B.; one grandson, Sean Pringle of Saint John; one great-grandaughter, Madison Pringle, of Saint John; two sisters, Carole Billin, of Meridith, New Hampshire and Mary Golden, of Kitchener, Ont; two stepdaughters, Sharon Pritchard, of Portugal, Carla MacNeil, of Quispamsis, N.B.; one step-son, Tony Rogers of Kingston, N.B.; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Arrangements are entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West, (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 1p.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Donations in Robin’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be placed at www.castlefh.com
