Obituary of Ronald Carlin
Carlin, Ronald Delbert The death of Mr. R. Delbert “Tiger” Carlin, husband of Marilyn (Hamilton) Carlin occurred on December 26, 2010 at Bobby’s Hope House. Born in Saint John on December 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Edith Francis (Miller) and Ronald Robert Carlin. Delbert was a great Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan, a member of RCL #69, and a member of the Canadian Air Force. He had worked at the Saint John Shipyard for over thirty years. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, daughter Wendy (Barry) McInnis, Oromocto, sons; Dale (Eva) Carlin, Kingston, Ont., Bruce Carlin, and Brian Carlin, both of Edmonton, granddaughters; Kayla, Stephanie, Courtney, and Alisha, grandsons Scott, Michael, Chad, and Nicholas, great-grand-daughter Nevaeh Carlin, brother Russell (Glenda) Carlin, Saskatoon, sisters Joan McNeil, B.C., Lorraine Loeman, Saint John, and Gloria Walsh, Boston. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Betty Chase, grandson Bruce Ronald Roland, and granddaughter Sammy Jo. Funeral arrangements entrusted Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). By request there will be no visitation and a private family service will take place at a later date. Donations to Bobby’s Hope House would be appreciated by his family.
