Obituary of Daisy Tait
The death of Mrs. Daisy M. (Boyce) Tait of the Carleton Kirk Complex complex, widow of Earl S. Tait occurred unexpectedly on November 15, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton on October 15, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Marilla M. (Godsoe) Boyce. Mrs. Tait was a member of Waterloo St. Baptist Church now Cornerstone Baptist., for many years the Primary Superintendent of the Sunday School, member of Waterloo St. Friendly Fellowship, and Dominion Life member of the Women’s Missionary Society. Mrs. Tait was a graduate of Saint John High School and Modern Business College. Prior to retirement she worked in the purchasing department of Wasson’s Co. Ltd. and Courtneay Drug Wholesale Ltd. She is survived by her sons Gary B. (Pat) Tait of Saint John and David S. (Judy) of Curryville, 4 grandchildren: Robert (Andrea) Tait, Jennifer (Kevin) Brewster, Christopher Tait, Jonathan Tait, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Earl, Roy, Otis, Frank, and sisters Hazel and Annie Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Wednesday 7 - 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 42 Leinster Street on at Friday 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
