Obituary of Thomas Connor
The death of Tom occurred on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at his home. Born in Saint John on July 27, 1940, he was the husband of Sandra Connor (Burnett) and the son of the late Reginald and Dorothy (Jennings) Connor. He is survived by his son Angus “Shawn” of Saint John; daughter, Heather Connor of Moncton; granddaughter, Jaylin; brothers, George (Karyn) of Saint John, Frank (Dorothy) of Moncton, and sister Marlene Connor of Saint John. Tom will also be remembered by his brother-in-law Andrew (Frances) Wylie as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Tom was predeceased by his parents as well as one sister Anne Marie Booth. Tom enjoyed his profession as an electrician, and was a member of the IBEW Local 502. He was a member of the Saint John Salvage Corps for many years. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Monday May 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and Tuesday May 10, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. George’s Anglican Church. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Following cremation a private family interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. George’s Anglican Church, or the charity of one’s choice.
