Obituary of Donald Harold Perrin
Perrin, Donald Harold Passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at his residence. Born on December 7, 1926 in Clarendon, Queen's County. He was the son of the late Roy and Estella (Muir) Perrin. Loving husband of Jean (Armstrong) Perrin. Donald was a jack of all trades and built many houses and camps over his lifetime, and was also an avid woodsman and family man and loved animals and children. He was a founding member of the Westfield Fire Department and Ambulance, President and past president of River Valley Lion's Club and a highly regarded warden with the Department of Natural Resources. He was the founder and owner of Perrin's Sanitary Service. Besides his wife, he survived by his daughters, Katherine (Kathy) Gangji and Virginia (Ginny) Perrin, of Westfield; grandsons, Aaron (Tanya) Gangji, of Guelph, Ontario, Josh Perrin and Timothy (Nelly) Perrin, both of Westfield; great granddaughter, Aliyah, of Guelph, Ontario; brother, Percy (Pat), of Grand Bay; sisters Doris (Earl) Titus, of Saint John and Lorna (Reuben) Wallace, of Clarendon and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Nelson, Glenn and Irven and sisters, Pearl Brown and Grace Colpitts. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Thursday, November 22, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, Nerepis. Donations may be made to the Westfield United Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
