Obituary of Ronald Palmer
Surrounded by his family Ronald Palmer passed away peacefully on July 20, 2016 at the Saint John regional Hospital. Born July 8, 1944 he was the son of John Joseph Palmer and Mabel Helena Eagles. Ronald will be sadly missed by son Donald Palmer of Saint John; brothers Brian Palmer (Dawn) of Saint John, NB, David Palmer (Carol) of Montreal, QC, and John Palmer (Betty) of Saint John, NB; sisters Debbie Maguire (Eric) or Lorneville, NB, and Kim Wetmore (Doug) of Grand bay-Westfield; 1 grandchild Donovan King-Palmer and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ronald was predeceased by his parents. Ronald was an exceptional teacher at various schools in Saint John helping a countless number of students over the years. Other than his work, Ronald was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid sports fan often cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 and Sunday, July 24, 2016 between the times of 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on each day. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 am from Our Lady of the Assumption. Donations in Ronald’s memory can be made to Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue. www.castlefh.com
