Obituary of William Ernest Shephard
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of William Ernest Shephard which occurred on Saturday May 16, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in 1936 he was the son of the late William and Dorothy (Smith) Shephard. William spent many years working for Kimberly Clark as an electrician before retiring after 27yrs from St. Ann Pulp & Paper Mill in Nackawic, NB. He will be sadly missed by sons Stephen (Sheri) of Saint John, NB, David of Ontario; brother Douglas (Barbara) Shephard of Saint John, NB; sister Marilyn (Gerald “Syl”) Nordstrom of Saint John, NB, Darlene Losier of Saint John, NB; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; special friend Sandra Baird of Saint John, NB; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents William was predeceased by son William Lorne Shephard; brother Wesley Edgar Shephard; sisters Jean Colwell and Eleanor Hewey. The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Smith, Dr. David Buick and Rhonda Locsin of the Heart Function Clinic for all of the excellent care.Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitations will be held on Monday May 18, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held from Castle Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place at Cedar Hill Ext Cemetery. Donations in William’s memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit. www.castlefh.com
