I am the Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise's). How saddened I was to learn of Les's passing. Unfortunately we were not aware that he was ill. He was a fine Hussar who served with our Regiment during World War II. On behalf of all 8th Hussars please accept our deepest condolences. May Les rest in peace. Sincerely, Dave Henderson

Belle and Family....So sorry to hear of Les's passing....We will never forget the most memorable Trips across Canada with Ivan Hick's Cross Canada Tours...We have many many memories and great chats and chuckles to remember him by..., for example " Is There Any Diesel" ? when we would pull up for fuel....or the repairs to your RV sewer and roof ( another story) while on the road..... and my many discussions about our military life.Les and I were both 8th Hussars in my earlier days.....Barb and I wanted to get to Saint John for the service but my health has not been the best lately so please accept our condolences ...and also from Jack and Sonia Myers , (visiting ) Eddie and Carolyn Hicks , Garnet Johnson, Larry Sears , Donna Sears , Janet Adams , Brenda & Alistair EstebrooksWe are all thinking of you BelleTom and Barb Johnson

In sorrow, we mourn those lost. In gratitude, we embrace those around us. In sympathy, we reach out to those who grieve.I am grateful for the many years of friendship that you have shared and what great neighbours you were to us..... I can remember Les coming in every year and he and Dad putting on their medals to walk in the Remembrance Day parade. The many cups of tea that Les had at our table and what a sweet and funny man he was. Always gracious hosts and a wonderful family.
