Obituary of Joseph Arseneau
The family of Joseph Francis Arseneau regrets to announce his passing on August 29, 2013. He was born on October 5, 1923 to Jean Louis Arseneau and Eleanor (LeBreton) Arseneau at Six Roads, N.B. He was married to Anne Kathleen (Hillman) Arseneau. He was a resident of Boston for 35 years. He was a carpenter who worked at the Prudential Building for Allied Corporation. In 1986 he retired to his home town of Saint John, New Brunswick. He was an avid golfer, member of the Westfield Country Club, member of the Lancaster Golden Service Club, member of the Knights of Columbus for 30 years in Boston, and 60 year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He was also an avid musician and played in several local bands. He served in the Armed forces during the Second World War. Joseph was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Joseph is survived by his daughter Kathy Healey (Brian) of Ottawa. His two grandchildren are Marina Henley and Caleb Healey of Ottawa. His nieces and nephews include Joan Quigg of Saint John, Tom (Mary) Noel of Saint John, Francis (Janice) Noel of Saint John, and many others who live away. In addition to his parents and wife, Joseph was predeceased by his son Brian Arseneau in 1953. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, N.B. with visiting on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will be held following the burial at Castle “Fallsview” Reception Center.
