Obituary of Donald Sheils
Sheils, Donald Harry (Donnie), peacefully passed away at Bobby’s Hospice on Sunday, July 29, 2012, after a brief illness. Born on April 25, 1947, in Saint John, N.B. He was the son of the late Milton Sheils and Vivian (Blagdon) Chilvers. Donald was an avid Nascar fan and race car driver. Donald raced his #75 race car for 35 years. Among hunting, fishing and his love to cook, he enjoyed spending time at his oasis on Ogden Lake. He is survived by his loving fiance, Pat Hasson; son, Kevin (Elaine); daughter, Tina Swan (friend Darren Brown); step-daughters: Tammy (Chris) Brine, Tracy (Virgil) Graham; brothers: Bobby (Pat) Sheils, Murray Sheils; sisters, Pat (Ernie) Ryer, Carol (Gordie) Taylor; six grand-children, Richard Swan, Kevin Sheils Jr., Randy Swan, Zachary Graham, Adam Graham and Sophie Brine; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step-father, Wesley Chilvers. Resting at Castle Funeral Home “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 2, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012, at 10a.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Following interment a reception will be held at Brundage Point, Grand Bay-Westfield. Donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (Alzheimer Society) or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.castlefh.com
