Obituary of Alex Crawford

Crawford, Alex Passed away peacefully, after a short illness at Bobby’s Hospice on Monday, March 26, 2012. He was born on May 11, 1945 in Crossgates, Scotland. Alex immigrated to Canada in 1962 with GREAT JOY! He worked in the far north for 35 years and happily retired in 2000 and enjoyed doing what he wanted to do without having to battle the cold, and he even developed shovelling skills. He is survived by his wife, Carol, of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; daughters, Roberta Crawford (Donald Lomax), of Pocologan, NB and Meekalee Crawford (Ettore Torlone), of Ottawa, Ont. and sister, Margaret (Joe) Anthony, of Dunfermline, Scotland. Arrangements have been entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701) there will be a short memorial service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 followed by a VERY INFORMAL reception, all which will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Center. No flowers by request; however, donations in memory of Alex may be made to the Bobby’s Hospice, Extra Mural or Doctor’s Without Borders.
