Obituary of Douglas Morine
Morine , Douglas Scott It is with great sadness the family announce the unexpected passing of Douglas Scott Morine which occurred on Wednesday September 23, 2015. Born October 10, 1947, he was the son of Marjorie Morine and the late Scott Morine. Douglas was a wonderful, husband, father, and grandfather, his family was everything to him. Doug worked as a mechanic/operator with Keel Construction for over 30 years. He was a Cub and Scout leader for many years, and made many lasting friendships with the leaders.His greatest joy was his family. He loved his camp, boat, and his 4 wheeler. Doug enjoyed spending the last 43 summer vacations with Flo and friends at Old Orchard Beach. Douglas will be missed by his loving family, his mother, Marjorie Morine; his wife Florence"Flo"(Alward) and their son Brent (Chrissy Laskey), of Morrisdale; and his very special granddaughter Emily. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Morine; brother, Donald (Cathy); brothers-in-law, Joseph Alward; Art Alward (Karla); Albert Alward (Sherry); Jack Alward (Linda); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Douglas was predeceased by his father Scott Morine. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, N.B., visitation will be held on Friday September 25, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 26, 2015 at 2:00pm with Rev. Malcolm Beckett officiating. A reception will take place in the Castle "Fallsview" reception center following the service. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. Donations to N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.www.castlefh.com
