Obituary of Doris Price
It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Doris L. Price (Byers) of Saint John, wife of the late Francis (Frank) H. Price, on April 18, 2012. Born in Saint John on February 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Violet and Roy Byers. She retired from NB Tel in 1993. She was very active in her community, she was a member of the Aliant Pioneers, a member of the RCL #2, the Red Hat Society, the Ding-a-Lings bowling team, Doris was a former rower on the Breasts Ahoy Dragon Boat Team. She was an avid golfer and fantastic cook, beautiful cross stitcher, and world traveler. Doris will be remembered by her daughters Linda Kinney, Susan (Brian) Worden, Shelley (Dale) Colwell; sons James (Mary Lou), Dale (Cindy) all of Saint John; grandchildren Christina, Ed, Scott, Shawn, Cory, Tony, Tanya, and Amanda; 13 great grandchildren; one sister Eleanor (Rudi) Foster, and one brother Roy. Doris will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was also predeceased by her sister Barbara McLennan and brothers Ron and Doug. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Friday April 20, 2012 from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home with a reception to follow at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre Donations in Doris’s name may be made to West Side P.A.C.T. Community Group.
