Obituary of Leamon Guthrie

The death of Leamon Guthrie, husband of the late Lois Eileen Guthrie (Watters) occurred on July 7, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Grand Manan on February 19, 1926, he was the son of the late Roland and Elizabeth Guthrie. He survived by daughters Lynn (Harold) Doyle, Marilyn (Harvey) Flewelling, Kim Guthrie, Donna Guthrie; son Robert (Cherry); grandchildren, Dale, Christopher, Meghan, Jason, Mark, Melissa, Lea May, and Steven; Leamon will also be remembered by many great grandchildren as well as his extended family. Leamon was also predeceased by his daughter Brenda Lee LeBlanc of North Bay, Ont. as well as several siblings. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Sunday July 10, from 2 -4, and 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, and reception at Fallsview Family Reception Centre. The family would like to thank the staff at the St. Joseph's I.V. Day Hospital, the V.O.N., Extra Mural, Palliative Care, Dr. Keith Wilson, Dr. Paul Pastuma, and Dr. Vaughn Smith for the care shown to Dad.
