Obituary of Richard Duke
The death of Richard Joseph Duke, of 10 Horseshoe Lane, Grand-Bay Westfield, occurred at his residence on Saturday October 26, 2013. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late Richard Joseph and Audrey Irene (Armstrong) Duke. In his earlier years, Richard had been employed with Atlantic Towing before moving to Iqaluit where he spent the later part of his life before returning to Saint John to retire. He is survived by five brothers, Mark William Duke of Grand Bay, Kenneth Gerard Duke of London Ontario, Gordon Christopher Duke of Saint John, Sean David Duke of Fredericton, and John Edward Gerard Duke of Dartmouth; four sisters, Lydia “Millie” DesRoche of Grand Bay, Kelly Carolyn Ann McGeachy of Grand Bay, Nancy Louise Morash of Dartmouth, and Mary Catherine LeBlanc of Saint John; as well a special friend and companion Sharon. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., with visiting on Tuesday evening, October 29, 2013 from 7 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Augustine’s Church, Westfield, N.B. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at 11:00am. Interment will follow in St. Augustine’s Church Cemetery
