Obituary of Fred Whipple
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Frederick “Fred” James Whipple which occurred on Friday July 22, 2016 at his home. He was born January 15, 1956 to the late Frederick and Muriel (Byers) Whipple. Fred was a lifelong member of the NB Tel/Bell Aliant Pioneers Club. He will be forever remembered by daughter Serena (Andrew) Darling of Sussex, NB; sisters Mary Whipple of Saint John, NB, Vivian (Stewart) Walsh of Hamilton, ON, Susan (Alex) McGibbon of Gagetown, NB, Marcia (Jim) Mason of Grand Lake, NB, Pat (Tony Cromwell) Whipple of Fredericton, NB; Grandchildren Matthew (Jessica) Carten, Bailey Carten, Abby Carten, Liam Whipple, Aidan Darling; great grandson Edward Carten, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Fred was predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 26, 2016 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday July 27, 2016 at 11:00 am from Castle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. I Lieu of flowers donations in Fred’s memory can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Mental Health.
