Obituary of Kathleen Herrington
The death of Kathleen occurred on April 17, 2011 at Kennebec Manor, Saint John. Born in Saint John on November 14, 1920. She is the wife of the late Norris Herrington, and the daughter of the late James and Mary (Scott) Pollock. She is survived by son James (Geri) of West Saint John; daughters Kathleen (Kenneth) Grass of Saint John, Carol Ann Makepeace of Sussex, and Kim (Dunk Worden )Richards of Grand Bay; brother Art Pollock of Quispamsis; sister in law Jane Henderson of Darling’s Island. She will also be missed by 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Kathleen lived all her life on the West side. She was a life member of St. George’s Anglican Church, and a member of the Jolly ’51 club. Kathleen loved the outdoors and traveling. Many memorable trips were made with Norris and in later years with friends. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. George’s Church, 100 Watson Street. The reception will follow in the church hall, and the interment at the Hammond River Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Kennebec Manor for all the kindness shown to Mom. Donations in Kathleen’s name may be made to St. George’s Church, or the charity of one’s choice.
