Obituary of Helen Adams
ADAMS, Helen- Peacefully in her sleep following a lengthy battle with cancer Helen passed away on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born June 26, 1927 in Edinburgh Scotland, daughter of Helen and William McCluskey. Survived by her loving husband of 67 years, George William Adams of Saint John, and sisters May (McAuley) of Scotland and Ann (Davies) of Wales. Also survived by immediate family, son George Adams and wife Jane, son Kenneth Adams, daughter Janice Case and partner Russell Paul, daughter Wendy Theriault and husband Clifford all from Saint John, daughter Karen Paul and husband James from Ottawa, twelve grandchildren, Andrew, Andrea, Leah, Stephen, Bradley, Kara, Natalie, Kristen, Gregory, Mark, Erin and Caleb, and five great grandchildren, Rose, Olivia, Madisyn, Gracen, and Keith. Helen was predeceased by Stuart Adams in infancy. Married in 1945 she moved to Saint John as a war bride. She was a proud wife, mother and grandmother. Arrangements are entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West, (634-1701). A memorial service is scheduled at Carleton Kirk United Church on Friday, March 15 at 2:00 pm. Thank you to Dr. Chris O’Brien, the nursing staff and volunteers of Bobby’s Hospice for their compassionate care.
