Obituary of Rhena McCavour
Rhena Isabelle McCavour "With saddened hearts the family of Rhena Isabelle (Maguire) McCavour announce her death which took place on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John on January 30th, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Galbraith) Maguire and lived in Lorneville all her life. She married her childhood sweetheart David McCavour in April 1961. Her life and happiness revolved around her family whom she bestowed selflessness and love on a daily basis. She loved her home and gardening, but most and foremost was her children and grandchildren along with her niece Laura (who was like a grandchild) and her two little girls, Chloe and Rhea. She managed her husband’s fishing business (who fished all over the Bay of Fundy) and was there to meet him in every harbor. She prayed constantly for his safety on the water". She was an exceptional mother, wife and friend and will be missed by many.She is survived by her husband of 54 years, David McCavour, sons; Kenneth McCavour (Karen) of Lorneville, James McCavour (Candice) of Musquash, daughter Cindy McCavour (Ed Healy) of Ottawa, sister Sharon Walsh (Lou) of Lorneville and grandchildren Alexandra, Zachery, Jamie-Lynn, Cecil and Bronson. In addition to her parents, Rhena was predeceased by her brothers Nelson Maguire and Eugene Maguire.Resting at the Fundamental Baptist Church, 1170 Sandcove Road, Saint John with visitation on Friday, May 1st, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at Fundamental Baptist Church, followed by a reception in the church hall.Appreciation and thanks to the staff of Bobby’s Hospice for the exceptional care Rhena received as well as many friends and family that supported her and our family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lorneville Cemetery or Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John honoured to serve the family.
